Leadership in Nashville - Day 1

Hello Friends,

One of the first people I see at our hotel - my lovely downline Laura.  Just love this gal.  She is so sweet.  Kimberly, Jenny and I had just been for pedicures and I am sure people were wondering why we wearing sandals.  It felt so good fo be wearing them instead of socks and boots.

We are chilling in our room just now.  In just over an hour we will be heading out to Managers Reception.  I am so excited.  This is Laura's first Leadership and her first Managers Reception.  I am even more excited for her - she is just going to LOVE it :)

We missed Laura at our Downline Event last Saturday but was so happy she sent swaps.  Here is the card she made :)

Utah Divas International Color Challenge #18

Hello Friends,

This card is dedicated to all of you today - I often refer to people as 'friend'.  Even if I don't know them very well, I use this term.  In my world, you an never have too many friends.  Speaking of which, I am getting ready to leave for the airport.  I am heading to Nashville for our annual Leadership.  I will get to see many friends at this event.  I am so excited.  Before I head to the airport, I am heading out to buy some new shoes - as you know "You can never have too many pairs of shoes!!!"   The same goes for stamps.

"Greenhouse Garden" is a stamp set I have had for a LONG time because I love the thought of flowers and gardens and spring....especially now :) GO away cold !!
I used the set for this weeks Utah Divas International Color Challenge - obviously thinking of warm weather :) So to all of you reading today, my friends I was thinking of you when I used the "Friends" sentiment from the 'You're a Gem' stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

What wonderful colors.  I am not a fan of Perfect Plum, but put that with Concord Crush and Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla - wonderful.

Hello Friends.

Last Saturday was such an awesome day with my team.  We each made a swap for everyone who attended to make.  I came home with some fabulous ideas.  This card was the swap I made.  I am really liking using Very Vanilla.  It gives a card a crisp, elegant look.  As most of you know, the BIG SHOT is my favorite 'pal'. I use it so often and I never grow tired of it.  
Here are the products I used:

1) Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder for the layer of Very Vanilla
2) Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon
3) Fun Flowers die using Pretty in Pink and Very Vanilla Card Stock. I ran the flowers through the Big Shot again using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder
4) Vanilla Rosettes from the Occasions Mini Catalog - LOVE these
5) "Friend" stamp from the "You're a Gem" stamp set in the Occasions Mini
6) Pearls - I cannot use these enough
7) Modern Label Punch
8) Pretty in Pink Classic Ink Pad

Stamp to the MAX Team Downline Event - Shoebox Swap

Hello Friends,

Today has been fabulous :)  Our team got together for a shoebox swap and we had so much fun.  Martha Haddock from Logan made lots of cards that she brought for our 'show and tell'.  This stamp set is available for just $9.95 (clear mount).  We had to use products from the Occasions or the Sale-A-Bration brochures.  Every single card was awesome.  We had some team members who couldn't make it due to other commitments or due to the fact they live out of state.  Their cards were awesome too.  I know they are going to be pleased with what they receive in the mail :)  As they read my blog - I am going to let them know I will be posting the cards in the next couple of days just in case they want to be surprised when the mail man arrives :)

Utah Divas International Color Challenge #17

Hello Friends,

Time for another Utah Divas International Color Challenge.  I am just loving these challenges.  It is great to put together colors that you wouldn't normally do so.  The Occasions Mini Catalog is available to order from starting today.  It is fabulous.  Be sure to let me know if you would like me to mail one to you.

One of my friends told me she would like to make some cards but not use stamps.  I thought that was almost unbelievable that she didn't want to use stamps but hey no problems.  You can make cards without stamps and without ink! The challenge for me was not using ribbon either as I seem to use ribbon with everything.

 This card is a 6x6 size and features the new Big Shot Die - Fun Flowers. I used the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder and added some of the pearls.  I cannot use enough of those things.....LOVE them.  I used some Stampin' Dimensionals to add the flower and along with some layered card stock, the card was done.  I added some Very Vanilla card stock to the middle of the card.  Makes the inside look very elegant plus easier to write on and be able to see the writing ;)   As there isn't a sentiment on this card, it makes it easy to send whenever you wish for whatever you need.

Last August I went to Canada (my first visit) to Alicia Ryckman's downline event.  I often think of it and the wonderful people I met there.  It was a very brief visit but one I will treasure.

One of Alicia's downline, Lisa C showed us all a bunch of spinner cards and although I had made them before, it was so fun to see the many creations she came up with.  It was a good refresher course too as I had not made them for such a long time.
