Springtime Vintage Wreath

Hello Friends,

Today has been the first day I have been in my stamp room all week.  This toothache I have had has just made me so very miserable.  My body was grateful for a chance to rest and I must admit it did feel good to just sit/lay/stand and watch movies.

With the launch of the Holiday Mini, Stampin' Up! brought us fabulous fabric.  With the launch of the Occasions Mini on January 4th, you will find more fabulous fabric.  The wreath shown above was made using the new "Springtime Vintage" Love it :)  I always look forward to Spring, so making this wreath has got my day off to a good start.

December Scrapbook Kit in the Mail

Hello Friends,

Hard to believe Christmas is over or another year.  I love Christmas and taking photographs has become a hobby of mine.  In years past, I have taken pictures then made pages for the occasion.  This year, however, I did something different.  I made the pages so they were ready to add the pictures to.

The Big Shot makes papercrafting so much easier.  Gone are the days when I used to stamp my letters and hand cut them all individually.  Gone are the days when I used to have to make sure the letters were all lined up as I stamped.  Let me know if you are interested in joining my "Big Shot" club starting January.

Stamp Set: Tags Til Christmas
Card Stock: Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Deck the Halls
Classic Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke
Accessories, Big Shot & Serif Essentials Alphabet, Alphabet Simple Letters & Numbers, Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder, Ornament Punch, Photos Corner Punch, Pearls, Scallop Edge Punch, Linen Thread, Victoria Crochet Trim, Stampin' Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive.

If you are interested in my 'Kit in the Mail' you can pay by paypal, credit card or check.
Cost - $10 if you live locally
$15 - if kit needs to be mailed.

Next months pages will be "Winter/Snow" themed.

Utah Divas International Color Challenge #16

Hello Friends,

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.  I suffered (and still am) with a toothache.  Yesterday, I had a Root Canal and the pain is almost unbearable and I have a pretty high tolerance for pain.

Time for another Utah Divas International Color Challenge.  I knew I needed to make some sort of a "Thank You" card for the many people (including Santa - ) who thought of me this Christmas.  One of my customers, Janyce bought me the most wonderful shirt.  She said when she saw it, she thought of me.  Isn't that just sweet.  It had images of London on it.

Here are the colors we were given to work with for this weeks challenge:

I used the "Direct to Paper" technique using the Regal Rose Classic Ink Pad.  This adds some depth and definition to the Very Vanilla Cardstock.  Cannot go wrong with this technique - simply swipe the card stock across the ink pad.

Products used
Stamp Set - Cute and Curly
Card Stock - Soft Suede, Very Vanilla
Ink - Regal Rose. Blushing Bride
Stampin' Write Marker - Soft Suede
Accessories - Real Red 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Blushing Bride Ribbon, Stampin' Sponge

Would you like to create a project using this weeks colors?  Be sure to visit to see what the rest of the team came up with.

Card and a gift from a friend

Hello Friends,

When I got back to work from lunch today, there was a small package on my desk.  I opened it to find a beautiful Christmas Card and gift from one of my SAMee's. The very talented Di Gibbs from AZ made them for me.  Di was one of last years Artisan Award winners (and rightfully so :)  Just look at the detail on this card. Di is amazing at watercoloring. This was a real change for me to see 'greens' instead of the traditional 'reds'.

Here is the awesome gift! I am always checking to see what date is what day so this is going to be fabulous for me.  This owl is soooooooooo cute!

From the bottom of my heart Di - THANK YOU for thinking of me.  I love being your SAM :)

A card from Rett and my new SAM :)

Hello Friends,

This card was sent to me by Rett Christensen who happens to be one of Stampin' Up!'s best employees.  He is such a dedicated co-worker and I learn so much from him.  I often wish I had just a quarter of his energy !!!!  Rett was my DBD coach and I shared my goals with him.  One of those goals was to promote to Executive.  Rett didn't forget - and once I achieved the goal, he sent me this card.  I thought it was so sweet of him.  He had every faith in me and knew I would achieve this goal.
Reaching this title has put me once again back into the SAM program.  I am thrilled. (I missed being on the SAM Stampin' Connection.)  My new SAM is Natalie Palmer. (She is not offically known as Palmer yet but soon will be :)  It is a great feeling to be both a SAM and have a SAM.

Check out my desk - Becky one of the SAM's put this together for me!  It made me smile.

I work at the 'bestest' place with the 'bestest' people ever :)

Build a Blossom Clear Card

Hello Friends,

Are you as happy as I am that today is Friday?  I have so much to do but am happy to start my weekend.

This beautiful card was created and sent to me by the very talented Mary Fish.  I am Mary's Service Account Manager at Stampin' Up! and it is my job to praise my SAMee's when they achieve a goal.  Mary sent me this card to praise me for reaching one of MY goals.
Last month I promoted to 'Executive' in the Stampin' Up! world.  When I got back to work from lunch yesterday, there was a card on my desk.  I thought it was a Christmas Card and was so happy that Mary thought of me reaching my goal......enough to send a card.

Thanks Mary!  That really made my day!

I am busy writing Christmas Cards today but one of my 'things to do' this weekend is to put together my class schedule for the next quarter: Jan-Mar.  I have lots of fun ideas.  If you live in the area and would like me to send you my class schedule, please send me an e-mail to to request it.  I am also planning on my kits in the mail, so if you don't live close by, you can make the projects in the comfort of your own home with step by step directions. (US only).  If you would like to purchase the finished projects, I can mail them anywhere in the world.

Only a few weeks left to order products from the Holiday Mini.  Click here to take a look.  Starting January 4th, you can order from the Occasions Mini (The set and punch and paper that Mary used for her card shown above are all in this fun-filled mini.)  If you would like me to reserve you a copy, please let me know and I will mail one to you.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Annual Team Christmas Dinner 2010

Hello Friends,

Last night - totally awesome!  It was our Team Christmas Dinner.  We met at Applebees and simply had a FUN night, chatting, laughing, sharing secrets :), eating etc.
We had show 'n' tell and it was great to see so many wonderful ideas.  We also had a great gift exchange.  We each brought either a handmade or store bought gift and put our names into a box (Thanks to Pat, she had her cards in a box for show 'n' tell).
Each person drew a name out the box and whoever's name was on the paper gave us the gift they had made/bought.

The lovely Laura drawing the first name :)

Here are a few of the gifts we made/bought for our exchange.  I let the girls know they could keep or trade their gift if the other gal was willing.  NOBODY wanted to trade their gift :)

I bought everyone in my downline (yes all levels) a pack of either Rhinestones or Pearls...their choice.  If you are one of my out of state gals or you didn't attend last night, please let me know your choice and I will get them in the mail to you :)

I am so grateful to Shelli Gardner, Co-founder and CEO of Stampin' Up! for starting such a marvelous company and for sticking it out through the thick and the thin! I have met so many wonderful people because of this company and many are my closest friends.

Thanks to my team - YOU are the best.
Next month we are getting together for a shoebox swap.  If you would like to join our team, e-mail me at or call 801 897-0429.

Have a wonderful day!
