Stampin' Up! Team Retreat

Hello Friends,

I am so excited.  My assistant Martha and I, have planned a fabulous retreat for our team.  We traveled 2.5 hours to the home of one of our team members home.  Lisa very kindly offered to host for us and what a fabulous home she has.  It was the first time we met and I knew instantly she will be a friend for life - that is what Stampin' Up! is all about to me, the friendships and relationships that are made.

 

 Lisa had all the sleeping arrangements taken care of so wonderfully.  We had towels on the bed with SWISS chocolate - No wonder I instantly liked this girl! ;) 

Martha and I had made the girls (and ourselves of course) a 'pillow gift'- a decorated 5x5 art journal. *Shown at the top.  

We covered it using "First Edition" Designer Series Paper.  A sneak peak there of a new Die that will be available on June 1 (pack of 4 different shapes).  We cut out our initials using the Serif Alphabet die and used coordinating striped ribbon. Everybody has a different color. I chose Cherry Cobbler.  We added the large pearls.

Piece of Cake anyone?

Hello Friends,

One of my online Demonstrator friends, Kimberly Sudol, made this beautiful 'cake'.  Is this just the most beautiful cake you have ever seen? - Can you tell it is made out of card stock.

One thing I want to ask Kimberly is how long it took to make?  Obviously a lot longer than a real cake. She made it for the mother of one of her customers who celebrated her 90th birthday.  I am sure the birthday gal was in awe at this.

What an absolute work of art!

Breakfast Banner

Hello Friends,

Every year at Stampin' Up! the Corporate Team cook and serve all the Employees breakfast.  As my shift starts at 7am, I never eat breakfast so this one day a year at work is a REAL treat.  The Team always go to such great effort for us.  They have decorations, great food, great service and a table decoration on every table.

I absolutely LOVE the banner shown above that was there to greet us.  This weekend, I have planned a retreat for my team along with the help of my wonderful assistant.  Pictures to come next week of our projects and one of them is a banner.

Summer Smooches meets Olivia

Hello Friends,

My stamp room is in a little bit of a chaotic mess at the moment.  We are decorating it and so ALL my stuff has been moved out.  UGH!  However, I am not complaining - well too much anyways :) I just found out today that the husband of one of my customers owns a cabinet business.  Goodness me - I am so excited.  I am going to draw up some plans and then have him come over for a chat :) This is really exciting for me as this means I can have my room how I want it.  Shelves/lots of shelves!  Storage Space/lots of storage space :)

So although I LOVE the traditional way of scrapbooking, I also love My Digital Studio.  This page took literally 5 minutes to create. 

First I chose a layout from the Summer Smooches digital collection.  The layout consisted of the Rich Razzleberry Page along with the layer of Designer Series Paper and the accent in the bottom right corner and the middle left.  I added a piece of ribbon at the bottom and some cute pictures of my daughter Olivia.  I added her name at the top using the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet and changed the color to Whisper White.  Totally simple - fun and easy.

My Digital Studio and my DAD

Hello Friends,

I am trying earnestly to catch up on a lot of 'scrapbooking'.  I am way behind and at this rate, I imagine myself being in my 80's before it gets done :) 

I am trying to at least get a memory book about my Dad put together.  

I have tried several times and then end up in floods of tears and 'leave it for another day'.  

This page shown today is part of a 'smaller' book I am working on.  I want to give one of these to all my Dad's grandchildren as a memory for them.  

hkr - Hull Kingston Rovers.  My Dad LOVED Rugby League and apart from God and his family, it was the thing he lived for. He is the 5th one across the top on the group picture.

Ten years after he signed up for Rovers when this picture was taken - I was born :) Forever thankful I was born to a such a wonderful Father :)
