Happy Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day Friends!
Happy Day to my fellow Brits!

I am SO excited that 'Pacific Point' will be available again in our new Idea Book & Catalog.  It really is a great hue of blue.
I hope you like todays card.

I stamped one of the images from the July Fourth Stamp Set with versamark ink all over the Pacific Point card base.  The fabulous thing about Versamark is that you can stamp it on any color card stock and it will show 'that' color.  I wheeled the Red, White & Blue Jumbo Wheel over a strip of Whisper White Card Stock.  I layered it on Real Red Card Stock and then adhered it to the card.  I punched out 3 Large Stars using the above mentioned Red, White and Blue Card Stock and layered them with Red and White stars.  I adhered them to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. I attached a strip of Whisper White Organza Ribbon and then added a small piece of Real Red Satin Ribbon to it.
A very quick and easy card.  This card could be made in multiples very easy with the help of the Jumbo Wheel and the Star Punches.
Here is the middle of the card

Stamp Set: July Fourth, Red, White & Blue Jumbo Wheel
Card Stock: Real Red, Pacific Point, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red, Versamark
Accessories: Large Star Punch, Star Punch, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Real Red Satin Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive.

Hope you have a wonderful day today!

Utah Divas International - Saturday Sketch Challenge

Happy Saturday Friends,

Time for another sketch challenge for Utah Divas International.  This is the sketch we were given to work with this week.

I decided to 'flip' the sketch and make a landscape card.
Here is what I came up with. It is very rare I come up with a masculine kind of card.  I tend to make more of the 'cutesy' cards that always consist of flowers :)

Stamp Set: Motorcycle, A Happy Heart
Card Stock: Basic Gray, Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red
Ink:  Black Stazon, Real Red, Real Red Stampin' Write Marker
Embellishments: Silver Brads, Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon.

I wanted to give the card a 'distressed' look so I crumpled up the Basic Black and Real Red Card Stock.

Pina Colada

Hello Friends,

No doubt you thought by the subject line, I was talking about a drink :)  Actually in this case it is the name of a Simply Scrappin' Kit.  Unfortunately, this kit retired.  I wanted to show you what I made with ONE kit plus use up some surplus inventory, ready for the NEW products that will be in our new catalog starting July 1.

I started by making 16 3"x6" cards

Next I created a 6x6 double page layout

12x12 Layout
2 standard 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 cards

3 x 6 gift/small cards
Finally a 6x6 Card

All this from one kit and I had 3 sheets of Designer Series Paper left.  It was really difficult for me to not use any ribbon or extra embellishments or tools, but I wanted to show what you can create using Card Stock, Designer Series Paper and self adhesive die cuts.

The Simply Scrappin' Kits are a fabulous way to make and create many projects from one kit priced at just $19.95
If you live locally or would like to receive a kit in the mail with directions, pictures and everything you need, cut out and scored ready to make, be sure to contact me.

Have a wonderful day!

My Digital Studio Monday - Things I Love

Happy Monday Friends,

I have had a lot of fun this weekend making some fun pages with Stampin' Up!'s "My Digital Studio."

These pictures inspired me to create a couple of layouts.

If you follow my blog or know anything about me, you will know I have a LOVE for shoes.  I currently have 75 pairs of shoes. (This is after a sort out :)
Here are the layouts!

This layout took approximately 5 minutes to create.  I used a template created by Stampin' Up! and just 'dragged' pictures into it.  I added a small piace of text.

This layout took approximately 10 minutes.  I made the page from scratch.  As you can see, I added a few embellishments.  It is so fun to scrapbook with this awesome software.

Have a wonderful day!

Utah Divas International Saturday Sketch Challenge

Hello Friends,

Time for another Sketch Challenge with Utah Divas International.  When I first saw the challenge, my immediate thought was "Mickey Mouse."

Today, I went to visit one of my new customers as she wanted to see two of the Big Shot Dies 'in action'.   Orlena showed me something really neat so I decided to use it as part of todays challenge.

I love making 'paper' flowers.  Click here to see a tutorial I shared a while back.  You are welcome to use this tutorial, just please give credit.

Here is what I came up with

Stamp Set: Upsy Daisy
Card Stock: Old Olive, Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry
Classic Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Big Shot, Little Leaves Sizzlit, Circles #2 Die, Pretty in Pink Corduroy Buttons, Fleurettes II, Scallop Circle Punch.

Here is how I made the cute, cute flowers.

I punched 6 scallop circles out of Rich Razzleberry Card Stock using the Scallop Circle Punch

Direct to Paper Technique - I simply swiped the punched circle over the Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink

I crimped the 'flower' then crunched it and opened it up again

Repeat this step with all 6 circles.  Do not worry if you tear it a little.

"Peel" back the flower.  You are literally tearing this in half so you have 2 pieces.  It makes the final flower very distressed and thinner than using the one piece.

Here is a close up of the flowers.  So cute :) Use Glue Dots to adhere them to the card.

How would you like the chance to receive a FREE pack of Fleurettes II?

These adorable crocheted flowers are so dainty—imagine how charming they’ll look on a scrapbook page for a little girl or on a baby shower invitation. But they’re not only for paper-crafting projects—use them on barrettes, hair clips, and clothing as well! You can dye them to coordinate with your projects using Classic Stampin' Ink refills.

■ Handmade, Whisper White crocheted flowers

■ 100% cotton

■ 12 flowers per package, 4 ea. of 3 sizes: 1", 1-1/4", and 1-1/2"

Just leave a comment today and you will be entered into a drawing.

Let's see what Ruthie came up with for this weeks challenge by clicking here.
How about the rest of the team? Click here.  I am sure there are many "Mickey's and Minnie's out there :)

Stampin' Up! Cruise 2010 - Towel Animals and Pillow Gifts

Hello Friends,

I sure hope you have enjoyed my cruise pictures.  It was an incredible vacation, one I will never forget.
Every night we went to our cabin, the stateroom attendant had made fabulous 'animals' out of towels.  Talk about creativity!!!:)

This was with the cute headband.  I won't be cruising to Alaska with Stampin' Up! - Our family will be going to England next year!  So excited :)

My FAVORITE gift of all - which actually is my FAVORITE Stampin' Up! bag EVER! :)
