Mixed Bunch

Hello Friends,

Today I am sharing 3 of our team's swaps with you.  Pat Washburn created this card.  I love it.  The layout and the colors are so cute.  The swaps today feature the Mixed Bunch available in Clear or Wood.

Lin Mumford created this card and I was amazed when she told me she handcut all the flowers.  That is sheer talent :) This stamp set has coordinating punches to make it easier for people like me who are NOT so good at cutting :)

This card was made by Julie Topham.  Very clean and crisp.  Love the color combo used here.  The Lace Border Punch adds an extra touch.  Gotta love the pleated satin ribbon :)

Stamp beautiful, unique flowers or create an entire flower garden in no time with this intricately designed six-piece set. Makes a thoughtful gift! Coordinates with the Blossom, 3/4" Circle, and 1" Circle Punches.

My beautiful niece

Hello Friends,

This is my adorable niece, Samantha.  I can barely believe how quickly time passes.  I missed Samantha's birth by one week. I moved to the States 10 years ago and was so looking forward and hoping Samantha would be born before I left.  Alas - I missed it.
Despite all the miles that separate us, we keep in touch often and I just love this girl so much as I do her sisters, Savannah and Sienna.

Stationery Sets - Kit in the Mail

Hello Friends,

Since being a small child, I have always loved stationery.  I have a ton of cute writing pads, matching paper and envelopes and usually hoard most of it :)

I wanted to create stationery that I could make a lot of (and use:) and came up with this.  Basic Black and Whisper White or Very Vanilla are my favorite combination for a stylish color combination.

I used the Finial Press Embossing Folder and the adorable "Labels Framelits". Used the "M" from the Alphabet Simple Letters and added 2 pearls.  (You can see why the Big Shot is my favorite product of all :)
Just look how elegant the back of the envelope is.  Again - the Big Shot :) I used the Adorning Accents Edgelits from the Occasions Mini Catalog along with the Adorning Accents Embossing Folder.  What a stylish finish - perfect for home-made stationery.

Would you like your own stationery set?  Great for you or a great gift for a friend.

E-mail me at maxstamps@yahoo.com letting me know your favorite color combination and the combination you would like and I will put a sample together for you and then you can decide how many you would like me to make.

Option 1 - 10 Cards with envelopes $15
Option 2 - 15 Cards with envelopes $20
Option 3 - 20 Cards with envelopes $25

Add $5 for shipping or you can arrange pick up if you live local.

Kathy and Jen's Workshop

Hello Friends,

This past Saturday I had a wonderful workshop with Kathy and Jen.  They were both very prepared and did a fabulous job. The treats were fabulous and one of the guests Wendi brought cherry pies and they seemed to be a great topic of conversation :)

The above card was one of our make and takes.  It is a 3x3 card.  The layer of Whisper White card stock (2 3/4 x 2 3/4) was placed in the Stripes Embossing Folder and ran through the Big Shot.  I used the Triple Treat Flower Stamp using the Basic Black ink pad.  The Embossing Folder, the Brights Buttons and the Triple Treat Flower Stamp are items that are in our Sale-A-Bration brochure. (Choose a FREE item with a $50 purchase.)  I used the White Bakers Twine and tied a bow in the middle of the button.
Punches used - Fancy Flower/5-petal flower/1/2" circle

Look what we did with the 1/2" circle punch -

This is the card I showed the guests how to make
Here is our other make and take

Here are some pictures of the guests -
Jen (in pink), Wendi, Kathy, Pam

Justine, Sarah (such a sweet little girl), Melinda, Megan and Noelia
Unfortunately Brooke and Lisa had to leave before I asked for pictures :)

AND LAST ......but certainly not least, a very special guest.
This is Grandpa, I don't even know his name as I just called him Grandpa myself :)  MR. JUTKINS.....and just so you know this is not Rich, it is his Dad :) I 'heard' Grandpa before I saw him and I thought it was Rich as they sound so much alike and they look alike :)

Grandpa using the Simply Scoring Tool with a little help from his granddaughter Jen :)

Grandpa assembling his card.  Thanks for being such a great sport :)

This really was an awesome workshop and I will say this forever - I am so grateful for all the wonderful friends Stampin' Up! has brought into my life.

If you are interested in hosting a workshop, please e-mail me at maxstamps@yahoo.com or call me - 801 897-0429.  I would love to share with you what I love.  Interested in joining my Stamp to the MAX team?  Please e-mail or call me for more information.

A gift from England

Hello Friends,

One of my friends of many years lives over in England and she is the kind of person I wish lived closer :)  Helen Taylor Brown is so talented in many ways.  She is 'Mum' to 4 children - 3 boys and 1 girl and puts most Moms to shame.....with her organization skills, parenting skills and creative skills.  One of these days she will get to Utah, I just know it.

This past Monday when I returned from my weekend in Arizona, I was sorting through the mail and came across a package.  Helen had let me know she was sending something, but I have made some purchases on Amazon just lately so I had a lot of packages to sift through.  The first one I opened, there was a package of Mini Jaffa Cakes in it - my favorite biscuits - cookies to my American friends :) It said "Tear and Share" on the top but unfortunately there wasn't going to be any sharing with these babies :) Along with the Jaffa Cakes was this adorable treat (shown above).  I have so much fabric laying around and along with ribbon and buttons and 2 sewing machines, I need to make something with it all.

This is the other side -

This is the fabric (Twitterpated) in the Occasions Mini Catalog and Helen has motivated me to make something using fabric.....:)

Pals Blog Hop

Hello Friends,

Happy Valentines Day to you :) Today my husband Lance & I celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. I joke with him and say, he only asked to marry me on this day, so he only has to buy me one bunch of roses :)

It's the occasion of the year as the Stampin' Pretty Pals share some fabulous cards and projects featuring Stampin' Up!'s Occasion Mini and Sale-A-Bration products on today's Pals Blog Hop!

You've probably hopped over from Mike Funke at Stampin' Style. I'm stop number 11 on the Pals Hop and I'm glad you hopped in! I'll help you "hop along" from blog to blog where you'll find great ideas for paper projects showcasing Stampin' Up!'s Occasion Mini and Sale-A-Bration products from the Stampin' Pretty Pals! Should you hop off course, simply click on any of the links in the Pals Hop Line-up below and you'll be back on track.

I have quite a few "Workshops" lined up for the Sale-A-Bration period and as I like to give my Hostesses an 'extra' something along with the awesome Hostess Rewards, I made up quite a few of these "mini cards and envelopes in a box".
Here is the top of the box. You can purchase these boxes ready made in packs of 4 for just $2.95
I added pieces of Twitterpated Designer Series Paper around the sides of the box and then added a piece of Baja Breeze Seam Binding.

It has been a LONG time since I have used this particular Embossing Folder. I ran a piece of Baja Breeze card stock through the Big Shot using the "Manhattan Flower" Embossing Folder.  I punched out several flowers using the Blossom Punch and rotated them using Baja Breeze card stock and Twitterpated Designer Series Paper.  I then used the circle punches and added a Large Pearl.  Have you seen/used these yet? Click here

When the hostess opens the box, she will find 8 mini cards and envelopes.  I used the same pattern/rotation as I did on the top of the box.  I used Textured Whisper White card stock for the base of the card and smaller pearls for the middle of the cards.

I punched out small circles using the 3/4" punch to give the envelopes a finishing touch

Here are the 8 cards :)
