Cub Scout

This evening we attended a Pac meeting with our son John.  Cub Scouts is all new to me as I have 3 daughters. I am used to girls camp and music and make up etc!  Scouts - totally out of my league.

Just a few pictures to capture a few things!  JD received an award and he was all happy when he received something (exactly - something!!!) We have such dedicated scout leaders in the ward we belong to.

SQSC 43 - My Digital Studio

Hello Friends,

This card is for YOU!  Anyone reading this blog post today :)  I use the term 'friend' frequent. I find it very friendly and love using the word.  Lance (my husband) tells my customers I say it to everyone as I cannot remember their names :)

Today is the Stampin' Queens Sketch Challenge.  I love being given a sketch to work with.  Here's the one we were given for this week - and let me tell you the ones we have for future weeks are so fun! I can't wait to get creating!

My card for this week uses ......you got it MY DIGITAL STUDIO.  I just love how quick and easy it is to create with this program. Of course I used the 'Fan Fair' collection which probably comes as no surprise as it is my favorite so far :)  Love the bling and of course - the Paper Flower adds a great focal point to the card.

So Grateful for you

Hello Friends,

I am on a My Digital Studio roll!  Truth is my stamp room is upside down, empty !  My husband is renovating my craft room and it is about driving me crazy!  So for now I have to do a lot of work on my laptop.  My health isn't the greatest either (side note - for anyone with thyroid issues, I would love to hear from you!)

I am LOVING the Fan Fair suite.  My post yesterday was pages used from it and this is a ready made card. I am actually going to print some off using our professional print services.  The great thing too - is you can send these products via e-mail.

Our new catalog is totally exceptional.  I LOVE the clean, fresh, crisp look.  My wish list is VERY long.  I have used My Digital Studio "Fan Fair" Collection DVD for my projects today. The pictures are of my children. There are several DVD's to choose from and they are ALL on my list.  Check pages 198 and 199 out in the catalog.  The great thing about these collection DVD's is that all you have to do is 'add pictures'.  If you want you can add other elements and text etc, but sometimes you just don't need to do anything extra.  A great way to start scrapbooking right away or catch up quickly.

I love what I can do with this fabulous software.  It makes memory keeping so much easier.  Again, you can add extras and even text but if you want to scrapbook pictures quickly - then it literally takes a few minutes to do.

A day at the beach

Hello Friends,

Another project using My Digital Studio.  The great thing about this program is you can create a page in a matter of minutes.  This literally took 20 seconds.  The page was already created for me (part of the Summer Smooches collection).  All I did was add a picture and some text.  Easy as that :)

This picture was taken 5 years ago!  I spent many fun days at this beach in Bridlington, East Yorkshire in England.  Dad was always wanting to be outdoors and anywhere he was with his family made him happy!

Fan Fair

Hello Friends,

My stamp room is being renovated just now - so thankfully I can keep up with the scrapbooking using My Digital Studio. 

My brother Jared sent this picture to my i-phone. I recently purchased the Fan Fair Templates and added a few tweaks to one of the pages.  I added the picture and some text along with the ribbon and the Summer Smooches fabric brads. That was it.  This page literally took 5 minutes total.

I am going to make a book for my brother so I hope he keeps the pictures coming :)

Summer Smooches meets Olivia

Hello Friends,

My stamp room is in a little bit of a chaotic mess at the moment.  We are decorating it and so ALL my stuff has been moved out.  UGH!  However, I am not complaining - well too much anyways :) I just found out today that the husband of one of my customers owns a cabinet business.  Goodness me - I am so excited.  I am going to draw up some plans and then have him come over for a chat :) This is really exciting for me as this means I can have my room how I want it.  Shelves/lots of shelves!  Storage Space/lots of storage space :)

So although I LOVE the traditional way of scrapbooking, I also love My Digital Studio.  This page took literally 5 minutes to create. 

First I chose a layout from the Summer Smooches digital collection.  The layout consisted of the Rich Razzleberry Page along with the layer of Designer Series Paper and the accent in the bottom right corner and the middle left.  I added a piece of ribbon at the bottom and some cute pictures of my daughter Olivia.  I added her name at the top using the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet and changed the color to Whisper White.  Totally simple - fun and easy.

My Digital Studio and my DAD

Hello Friends,

I am trying earnestly to catch up on a lot of 'scrapbooking'.  I am way behind and at this rate, I imagine myself being in my 80's before it gets done :) 

I am trying to at least get a memory book about my Dad put together.  

I have tried several times and then end up in floods of tears and 'leave it for another day'.  

This page shown today is part of a 'smaller' book I am working on.  I want to give one of these to all my Dad's grandchildren as a memory for them.  

hkr - Hull Kingston Rovers.  My Dad LOVED Rugby League and apart from God and his family, it was the thing he lived for. He is the 5th one across the top on the group picture.

Ten years after he signed up for Rovers when this picture was taken - I was born :) Forever thankful I was born to a such a wonderful Father :)

My beautiful niece

Hello Friends,

This is my adorable niece, Samantha.  I can barely believe how quickly time passes.  I missed Samantha's birth by one week. I moved to the States 10 years ago and was so looking forward and hoping Samantha would be born before I left.  Alas - I missed it.

Despite all the miles that separate us, we keep in touch often and I just love this girl so much as I do her sisters, Savannah and Sienna.

Layouts using My Digital Studio

Hello Friends,

Do you feel overwhelmed with all the pictures you have taken and just don't seem to get the time to scrapbook them?  I certainly do!  The thing with me is I feel it has to be the most perfect layout to add pictures to.  I feel like I need to spend a full weekend at a scrapbook retreat to make up the pages.  However, with Stampin' Up!'s 'My Digital Studio' software program, you can be done in just a few minutes.  The layout shown above is simply a page that already has the photo boxes - all you need to do is drag pictures into it.  I am way behind on my scrapbooking, and I know using MDS will help me get all my pictures in books or on layouts. 

Here is another layout!  A very good friend of mine (who happens to be my sister's mother in law) took Kayleigh and I to 'Chatsworth House' when we were visiting in England.  It was such a fun day and a great experience.  I even had the chance to play the piano while I was there :)

The chair above was made out of coins!! It was amazing :)

Happy Birthday Dad

Hello Friends,

I sat down with my 8 year old son and 5 year old daughter and between them, this is what they came up with for their Daddy's birthday card.  It was amazing how they simply picked what they wanted from the 'palette' and created this. 

That is one amazing thing about MDS!  Even the kids love it and enjoy creating with it.  It avoids mess and waste :)

Our assignment this week for MDS Monday with Utah Divas International was to create Tags.  YES!! This program is just not limited to Cards and Scrapbooks.

The sample above is a Tag (front and back) that Stampin' Up! created.  I did nothing with this.  This my friends is the great thing about this program, you don't have to do any creating if you don't want.  You can print out what has already been created.

My Digital Studio Monday

Happy Halloween my friends!

I have re-joined the MDS Design Team on Utah Divas International.  Of course todays card HAD to have something to do with Halloween. 

Just three colors used in todays creation - Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black and Whisper White.

The background is the "Hello Doily Background Stamp" (Wood Stamp can be found on page 150 of the Idea Book & Catalog).
