Christmas Cards - Class / Kits in the Mail / Cards in the Mail

Hello Friends,

Hope you had a fabulous weekend!  It was beautiful here in Utah but today lots of rain, and even snow!  Brrrrrrr! I love the Thanksgiving/Christmas season but NOT the cold.  I should live in Hawaii or San Diego.  I always threaten to move to Saint George (Southern Utah) at this time of year.  Another thing to look forward to, Kayleigh (our college student) will be home for the Holidays.

Now is the time to plan for your Christmas Cards.  I provide the way for you to make your own hand stamped cards.  Much more appreciated than a store bought one!
Maybe you plan on sending a photo card this year.  The sample above is one I can get ready for you.  OR you can choose either of these :)

Choose which one you would like to make.  You may even want a mixture.  Here are your options :

1) Come over to my house to make them
2) Kit in the Mail - I will mail you the stamp set (that must be pre-ordered) along with the kit and directions for you to make your cards in the comfort of your own home
3) Cards in the Mail - You let me know how many cards you want. I will mail the finished cards, along with envelopes to your home.  All you have to do then is write in them and mail them to your loved ones.

Jolly Old Saint Nick
Choice of Clear or Wood Mount
Lovely as a Tree
Wood Mount only

Contempo Christmas
Choice of Clear or Wood Mount

Let me know which option and which card you would like and I will get back to you with details and costs.  E-mail me at maxstamps@yahoo.com or call 801 897-0429.

Home Decor Frame

Hello Friends,

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend.  Here in Utah, it has been a gorgeous day.  My friend Deb came over and we had a fun time chatting and stampin'.  Deb wasn't able to make the Scrapbook Class or Card Class this month so we had some one on one time.  It was great.

Before Deb came over, I made this 'Home Decor'.  I bought the frame from the craft store.  I used the mat that was already in the frame and stamped the 'holly' from the 'Cold Play' stamp set using Always Artichoke Classic Ink and using the Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker for the berry. Click here to see details of my Marker Club.

I then made the trim using the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and the Crochet Trim Chantilly.
I punched out the ornament from the 'Contempo Chiristmas' Stamp Set using the Ornament Punch. Next, I added some bling - fabulous Rhinestones and adhered it using Stampin' Dimensionals.
I L-O-V-E the Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper.  I used part of one of the sheets for the mail focal of the frame.

Very quick, very easy and fabulous cost :)

First Christmas Card 2010

Hello Friends,

I received my first Christmas Card for 2010 and a beautiful one at that.  How very sweet of my friend Karen to send this to me.  Wait until you see what she sent me with the card.  (Coming up tomorrow :)
Reverence the awe and wonderment of the Christmas season on a card or scrapbook page with the divine image and greetings of faith included in this set. Our angel is poised for watching over and declaring great tidings to all your cherished friends and closest family. Available both in wood-mount and clear-mount. Also available in French and in Spanish.

Now is the time to plan your Christmas Cards.  Receiving a hand made card is so much better than a store bought one.  Take a look in your catalog or in your Holiday Mini Catalog.  Let me know which one you would like the best.  I will send you a couple of samples to ask which one you would like for your Christmas Card this year.  I will then order the stamp set for you and put together a kit for you so you can make your cards either here at my Christmas Card Camp or in the comfort of your own home.

E-mail me at maxstamps@yahoo.com and put Christmas Cards 2010 in the subject line.  First step - let me know which Christmas Set you like the best.  Looking forward to hearing from you.

Details of my Christmas Gift Camp coming up Saturday.  Be sure to follow or subscribe to my blog so you don't miss anything.

Utah Divas International Color Challenge #8

Hello Friends,

This has been the hardest color challenge for me so far. I am not kidding when I tell you I struggled with it and I know you will believe me now you have seen my creation.  I am NOT a lover of 'Perfect Plum'.  It is one of my least, favorite Stampin' Up! colors.  Here are the colors we were given to work with.

Check out what the rest of the Design Team came up with by clicking here.  I would LOVE to see what you come up with :)

And the winner is .........................

Hello Friends,

LORD OF THE RINGS!!!  My co-workers totally deserved to WIN!  Their costumes were fabulous.  They each played their roles very well.  I told Sean Douglass, (Shelli's son in law) that I would help him with his accent when he came up to me and said 'Shire' :)  Absolutely fabulous!

Halloween 2010 - Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

When you walk in the front doors of the Stampin' Up! Building in Riverton, this is what you see :)

My co-worker Becky.  I just have to tell you that she is one person with a lot of team spirit.  I asked her if she had a closet full of 'dress up' stuff - she really has an outfit and accessories for everything.

If you are a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, you will recognize ALL these faces.  These gals (and guy) happen to be some of my very favorite people to work with.
Back Row from left to right: Shannon (surprised she does not have a diet coke in her hand :), Carrie (sure she will be scrapbooking these pictures as I type this :), Brian, Amanda and Ellen
Front Row : Holly and Donna

WOWZERS!!! This really was a highlight of the day for me!  I was in awe at how awesome this really was.  There were cookies and treats galore.  Anyone who has black licorice for me will win my heart :)  This picture really does not do this justice.

Here is Selma - She is just the most sweetest, wonderful person.  She has so much energy and ALWAYS has a smile on her face. She had a way cool treat at her desk - candies with scoops.  If you have been to Founder's Circle you will know what I am talking about ;)

Here is Ellen with 'the real' Snow White.  When I first met Ellen I thought to myself "wow - I really want to be her friend".  That thought became reality.  She is an absolute gem! We found out we both have something in common.  Both our Fathers passed away - Both of us loved/love them immensely :)

Look who took 1st place for 'Individual' Costume!  Rightfully so!  Awesome idea :)

And finally, another bunch of awesome people I work with.  Loved their costumes and their decor.......they took 2nd place for Decor.

Message to my fellow Demonstrators "Be(e) in Compliance" :)

Come back tomorrow to see who took first place in costume. You will NOT want to miss it.

Have a wonderful day!

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Hello Friends,
Today was our annual Halloween Party at work. Most of you know that not only am I a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator but I am an Employee also.  I cannot praise Stampin' Up! enough!  The friends that this company has brought into my life are countless.

Each year, we as Demonstrators have the opportunity to earn an Incentive Trip.  The one we are working for at the moment is a land based trip to Disneyworld in Florida.  I am one of the many working hard to earn this.  We as the SAM team decided to dress up as "Snow White and the 7 dwarfs".  We have 6 SAMS dressed as the dwarfs along with Renee Wright who is part of the DBD program and Snow White - our fearless leader, Jim Pitt.  We even had the witch of course and the Handsome Prince.

We won first prize for the Decor :)

The pumpkins at the top of the post were decorated by our Supervisor, Jim Pitt.  He painted a picture of all the dwarfs and amazed all of us with his amazing talent.

Here's Snow White - also known as Jim Pitt, our Supervisor who painted the pumpkins.  Man of many talents, I tell ya ! :)

Here we are in the Cottage.  Back Row: Doc (Terri Allen), Sleepy, (Maxine Conrad), Snow White (Jim Pitt), Bashful, (Natalie Snell), and Dopey (Becky Hubbell)
Front Row: Happy (Jen Bates),Grumpy (Renee Wright) and Sneezy (Felicia Alires)

My desk which was turned into my bed :)

Our witch was played by the 'awesome' Rett Christensen who is one of our Demonstrator Business Developers.  KUDOS to Rett for his amazing creativity.  He actually won a prize for being the most 'scariest' in the Contact Center.  He decorated this whole 'witch' area.

Getting ready to 'poison' the apple :)

"Who is the fairest of them all?"

My cute daughter "Olivia" is the fairest of them all :)

We truly had a magnificent day! I work with the most wonderful people.  I have never had a job where we have had so much fun.  Come back tomorrow to see pictures of other Stampin' Up! employees.

Marker Club

Many Marvelous Markers - by Stampin' Up!
Hello Friends,

Our Stampin' Write markers are fabulous.  I have owned them ever since I became a Demonstrator.  Coloring is a favorite past time of mine.  They cost $109.95 and I realize that is a lot of money to come up with for a box of markers.  I have offered a way to get them all with 4 monthly payments before and it has worked out very well.  Doing it this way also allows each "Marker Club" member to receive Hostess Benefits too.
We need 4 club members to join.  The club will run for 4 months to allow each person to be a Hostess.  When the 4 months are over, this is what you will have:

* 38 Markers - Subtles, Regals, Brights and Neutrals PLUS the In Color Markers - Poppy Parade, Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz.  Total of 43 Stampin' Write Markers

* The Carrying Case which cannot be purchased seperately

* Hostess Benefits - One Level 1 Stamp set PLUS $15 in Free product of your choice

Cost: Marker Club commitment for 4 months is $40.00 (This includes shipping and tax)

You will be allocated a month that you will be hostess. During this time you can add to the order (Ask friends and family) so your hostess benefits will increase.

RSVP if you would like to sign up for my Marker Club.  By becoming a club member, you receive special discounts throughout the year including classes and stamp camps.

Once I hear back from 4 people - the club will begin :)

Please let me know if you have any questions.
