Welcome Lisa

Hello Friends,

I am so excited!  One of my most wonderful friends just joined our Stamp to the MAX team.  I am so happy to welcome 'Lisa'.  She was a Demonstrator previously and has become one of my dearest friends.  She is one of the MOST caring people I know. She is always looking out for me and I am so grateful to her :)   We work together and have some fun times in and out of work. 

Lisa is also very talented.  She made this card, shown above for her husband Greg, this past Valentine's Day.  What a definite WOW card.

A day at the beach

Hello Friends,

Another project using My Digital Studio.  The great thing about this program is you can create a page in a matter of minutes.  This literally took 20 seconds.  The page was already created for me (part of the Summer Smooches collection).  All I did was add a picture and some text.  Easy as that :)

This picture was taken 5 years ago!  I spent many fun days at this beach in Bridlington, East Yorkshire in England.  Dad was always wanting to be outdoors and anywhere he was with his family made him happy!

Stamp to the MAX Blog Hop!

HAPPY 1st day of June - Summer is almost officially here :) Today marks the start of a brand new catalog.  At noon, you can order from the new catalog and to welcome it in - I have arranged a blog hop with my very own "Stamp to the MAX" team members. I am first on the blog hop and I will direct you to Martha's blog at the end of this post.  You will also see a list of others who are joining me this month for this blog hop!  Please leave comments on the blogs - we always like comments, especially good ones :)

I created this WISH LIST (cos I need one LOL) using a half sheet (8 1/2x11) of Rich Razzleberry cardstock.  I layered it with a piece of Floral District Designer Series Paper - my favorite DSP in the new catalog.  Up until now anyway.  It may change :)

I used the "Apothecary Framelits" and my Big Shot to cut out the pieces to decorate the book using Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight card stock - all coordinating colors. I ran the Tangerine Tango card stock through the Big Shot using the "Square Lattice" Embossing Folder.  I stamped the "M" in Rich Razzleberry Ink using the Broadsheet Alphabet stamp set and wrapped a piece of Tangerine Tango dotted scallop ribbon around the 'book'.  I am just loving 'Bright' colors at the moment.  They make me happy!

SQSC 41 - Betsy's Blossoms

Hello Friends,

I have joined a weekly sketch challenge with the Stampin' Queens.  This is my first week.  I am so excited as a challenge is always good and I love seeing different sketches for cards.

So excited to create with all the new goodies from the NEW catalog, which is available to order from at 12 noon tomorrow - YIPPEE!!!

I used the new Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper (DSP) here along with a couple of coordinating colors.  I started with a Soft Suede base and added a layer of Midnight Muse, one of the new In Colors for this year. and a piece of Cajun Craze.  GREAT color combo.  I should have really cut the DSP in to 4 strips, (per the challenge) but had 3 in my mind for some reason.

The bird is from the Betsy's Blossoms Stamp Set - again available tomorrow. (item # 126004 in wood mount and # 126006 in clear mount).  I used the Itty Bitty Banners Set too for the Thank You sentiment.  (Item # 126255 in wood mount and # 126257 in clear mount).

I added a Naturals Designer button ( # 127544) with linen thread along with a piece of Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon.  Check out the bird - I added a rhinestone in his eye and cut out one of the wings for extra depth.

Here is the sketch we were given.  Give it a try!  Great sketch!

In Color Card with Blossom Triple Layer Punch

Hello Friends,

Here are the new In Colors for 2012-13. We made this card at one of my clubs this month as an introduction to them.  I used Whisper White for the basic card layout. 

I used the Simply Scoring Tool to score some lines in the middle of the card to add some texture and depth.  I punched out one of each color using the Blossom Triple Layer punch which is retiring on May 31.  This punch has been reduced in price - only $14.37 (normally $23.95).  I also used the small circle punch. Finally I added a piece of ribbon which is one of the new In Colors.  No sentiment used, so I can use them for whatever reason.

This coming Tuesday (29th), is my monthly card class where we will be making 10 cards using the In Colors.  If you live in the area, you are more than welcome to attend.  Please RSVP - maxine@stamptothemax.com

Thinking of you with Bashful Blue

Hello Friends,

Talk about a clean, crisp card.  I love the simplicity of this card.  Very fresh looking and elegant. 

Once upon a time, I used to think you had to add a 'lot of stuff' to a card for it to be 'worthy' in the crafting world - but wow I am glad I learned that is not the case.

One of my girlfriends sent me this picture as she knows I am loving the clean, crisp look.  My good friend Heather Summers created this card.
