Scrapbooking Page - DAD

Hello Friends,

Our Father's day class was so fun.  I love to make new friends and it was great to have some new people join us.  While everyone was busy making their brag books, I made this scrapbook page.

I cut out the DAD letters using the Big Shot and the Serif Essentials Alphabet die. I punched out the stars and added some ribbon. The rest - stickers and Card Stock from the Simply Scrappin' Kit.  All ready to add pictures and journaling.

Be sure to sign up for my Scrapbooking Club beginning July if you haven't already.  Kits in the mail are available if you are unable to attend.

Utah Divas International - Saturday Sketch Challenge

Hello Friends,

Time for another sketch with Utah Divas International.  Here is this weeks sketch.

It is amazing how quickly 3 months pass.  My Mom flew to the US on April 13th and flies home July 5th.  With her on my mind, here is what I came up with.

This card shows ALL the new core colors that will be available beginning July 1.

Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake.
I am so excited to have these colors in our color palette now.  A very refreshing and much needed change :)

I used the Messages for Mom set and the Lattice Embossing Folder for texture along with the 3 flower punch and gold brads. The MOM sentiment was stamped using the lucious Cherry Cobbler ink.

Have a wonderful weekend :)

Team Meeting Part II - Make 'n' Take, Product Tip

Hello Friends,

My upline, Sheila had a fabulous make 'n' take planned for us at our meeting, Monday evening.  She had put together a 'BIG SHOT' book with all the dies for the Big Shot.  She spent hours cutting out the dies for all who were at the meeting.  I was amazed at all the hard work.  Thank you Sheila ;)  I am looking forward to taking mine to my workshops, classes and events.

I shared my business tip - click here to see the post and Elisabeth (who is Cindy Petersen's downline) shared the project tip with us.

Have you ever noticed the 'Wood Sheets' in the Catalog?  If you have ever wondered what to make with them or even what to do with them, you are in for a nice treat. Take a look at what Elisabeth shared with us. Thank you Elisabeth.

These sheets of ultra-thin birch add a refreshing and unusual texture to your projects. They're made of real wood that's thin enough to cut with the Big Shot or our Craft & Rubber scissors.

Team Meeting Business Tip

Hello Friends,

I have said this many times but the BEST thing about Stampin' Up! is all the friendships I have made.  Many of my customers have become very good friends as well as my team members.
Last night, my downline and I met with my upline and sidelines and had a fabulous 'get together.'

I had volunteered to share a business tip with the team.  I gave everyone there one of these cards.

I explained how easy it was to make this card.  Anyone, creative or not could make this card.  Very simple and very quick.
Melon Mambo happens to be one of my very favorite colors.  SO HAPPY it is being carried over to our new catalog. If you haven't ordered yours yet, click here.
The Big Shot has been such a life saver for me.  It saves so much time and you can create so many wonderful things with this 'best stampin' friend of mine'.  Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what my upline, Sheila did for everyone at last night's meeting.
The Whisper White layer on this card has added dimension, thanks to the Big Shot and the Polka Dot Embossing Folder.
With one strip of Melon Mambo for color - I used punches for the rest of the card.  The sentiment is from the stamp set - Trendy Trees.
The flowers are from the "Punched Posies" stamp set which is a Level 2 hostess set.  Book your workshop today in order to earn this.

Stamp Sets: Punched Posies, Trendy Trees
Card Stock: Melon Mambo, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Punches - Fancy Flower, Scallop Circle, Five petal, Large Oval, Modern Label

Contact me for more information about my card classes.  Held on a monthly basis.  Out of state or unable to make classes, no problem!  Card Kits or ready made cards available for purchase.

Utah Divas International - Saturday Sketch Challenge

Hello Friends,

Time yet again for our Utah Divas International Sketch Challenge.  Here is the sketch we were given for this week.

This is the first time ever and probably the only time that you will see anything on my blog that is NOT a Stampin' Up! product.  There are not many things I love other than Stampin' but football (soccer as it is known to my American friends) is one of my passions. I watch it often and truly miss seeing live games back in England. I was so excited when I gave birth to my son (only boy of 4 children) as I knew this little kiddo would play soccer.

Due to the fact that England and the USA are playing in the World Cup today - I just HAD to use a cute embellishment I bought absolutely years ago.
Here is what I came up with

I knew I would use red and white for the card.  They are of course the colors of the Engish flag.  I believe this is the first card I haven't used an ink pad.
Card Stock: Real Red, Whisper White
Embellishments: Real Red 3/4" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, Full Heart Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Metal Edge Tag.
The cute little soccer player and ball was bought at a local craft store.

Here is the middle of the card

Have a wonderful weekend!
