Stampin' Up! Cruise 2010 - St Maarten's

Hello Friends,

Our day in St Maarten's was a fabulous one. Mom and I had planned to spend the day with Dawn Griffith and her daughter, Jess. Woohoo!

We started out with breakfast in the dining room

Grapefruit, cereal and french toast

Dawn sent me this fabulous picture of Jess and me :)

We did some shopping

and hung out by the ocean

Time to go back to the ship !

May Class - Love Sparkles

Our class for May is a collection of quick and easy cards for any occasion. Our Simply Scrappin' Kits are awesome for Scrapbooking and as equally awesome for card making.

You are welcome to join us for our card class on Wednesday, May 26th at 7:30pm. Please RSVP before Thursday May 20th.d

Love Sparkles Scrappin' Kit is what we will use this month. Click here to see last months kit. You will make 16 cards at the class and take the rest of the kit home with you. Cost $20 (Class is FREE) $25 with envelopes.

Utah Divas International - Saturday Sketch Challenge

Happy Saturday Friends,

I am sure you are enjoying hearing about the fabulous cruise. I will share the rest of the week with you, no worries!
As promised, I am back on track with our Sketch Challenges. Here is the challenge we were given for this week.

As you can see we had to use 'cupcakes' in this sketch. My favorite cupcake set is "Crazy for Cupcakes."

Here is what I came up with

Stamp Set: Crazy for Cupcakes

Card Stock: Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper

Ink: Chocolate Chip Classic, Whisper White Craft

Stampin' Write Markers: Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Blush Blossom,Real Red

Accessories: Big Shot, Scallop Circles #2, Melon Mambo Polka Dot Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, Two way glue pen, Dazzlin' Diamonds.

I love Melon Mambo and today was the first time I used Tempting Turquoise with it. I added Dazzlin' Diamonds to the cup cakes and it doesn't show well here in the picture, but it really does look great. I used the scallop edge punch on the Melon Mambo Designer Series Paper to make it look like a shop window.

Stampin' Up! Cruise 2010 - St John's, Antigua

Hello Friends,

Here we are! My favorite day of the week :) The ocean at St. John's was the BEST I have ever seen, EVER. It was pure blue. It was clear. I was so excited to see someone renting Jet-Ski's and I headed right there. The guy renting them told me to leave my husband and kids and stay with him on the Island. He would take really good care of me he said. I joked with Lance when I got back and told him he had to be the best husband ever, as I had options :)

This is THE life - ready for fun! - Just look at the color of the ocean :)

Mom laid out whilst I was in the ocean. Unfortunately, she is petrified of water.

Time to leave - I literally had to be dragged back to the bus. I really did not want to leave. I have no idea who this guy is by the way......I was just taking a picture of the most beautiful ocean I had ever seen!

It was the first time I didn't want to get back on the ship. Our ship was the one on the left.

This whole day reminded me of 'Paradise'. The island, St. John's. How appropriate that my Dad's name was John and Paradise is exactly where he is now. I feel close to him every day, but when I am by/in the ocean, I feel even closer to him as he absolutely loved it. I kept wishing he was with us. He would have so loved it. I love and miss him so very much.

Truly, if it wasn't for Stampin' Up!, I would never have ever seen such a gorgeous beach and ocean.

Stampin' Up! Cruise 2010 - St Lucia
