Utah Divas International Saturday Sketch Challenge

Hello Friends,

Time for another Sketch Challenge with Utah Divas International.  When I first saw the challenge, my immediate thought was "Mickey Mouse."

Today, I went to visit one of my new customers as she wanted to see two of the Big Shot Dies 'in action'.   Orlena showed me something really neat so I decided to use it as part of todays challenge.

I love making 'paper' flowers.  Click here to see a tutorial I shared a while back.  You are welcome to use this tutorial, just please give credit.

Here is what I came up with

Stamp Set: Upsy Daisy
Card Stock: Old Olive, Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry
Classic Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Big Shot, Little Leaves Sizzlit, Circles #2 Die, Pretty in Pink Corduroy Buttons, Fleurettes II, Scallop Circle Punch.

Here is how I made the cute, cute flowers.

I punched 6 scallop circles out of Rich Razzleberry Card Stock using the Scallop Circle Punch

Direct to Paper Technique - I simply swiped the punched circle over the Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink

I crimped the 'flower' then crunched it and opened it up again

Repeat this step with all 6 circles.  Do not worry if you tear it a little.

"Peel" back the flower.  You are literally tearing this in half so you have 2 pieces.  It makes the final flower very distressed and thinner than using the one piece.

Here is a close up of the flowers.  So cute :) Use Glue Dots to adhere them to the card.

How would you like the chance to receive a FREE pack of Fleurettes II?

These adorable crocheted flowers are so dainty—imagine how charming they’ll look on a scrapbook page for a little girl or on a baby shower invitation. But they’re not only for paper-crafting projects—use them on barrettes, hair clips, and clothing as well! You can dye them to coordinate with your projects using Classic Stampin' Ink refills.

■ Handmade, Whisper White crocheted flowers

■ 100% cotton

■ 12 flowers per package, 4 ea. of 3 sizes: 1", 1-1/4", and 1-1/2"

Just leave a comment today and you will be entered into a drawing.

Let's see what Ruthie came up with for this weeks challenge by clicking here.
How about the rest of the team? Click here.  I am sure there are many "Mickey's and Minnie's out there :)

Have a wonderful day!
