Stampin' Up! Cruise 2010 - Barbados

Happy Saturday Friends,

I have been slacking at creating for the Utah Divas International Sketch Team.  Next week, I will be back - I promise :) To check out what my fellow team mates came up with click on this link - http://www.utahdivasinternational.com/

Barbados was our first port of call.  It was great to 'step out on to land'.  It was hot.

We received a wonderful welcome by some great musicians.
We spent the day with our new found friends - Kristyne and her Mom, Joanne from Winnipeg, Canada.
We started the day with a little 'shopping'!  There was an indoor shopping center and it wasn't air conditioned.  That was the miserable part.  The shops however, were air conditioned. Maybe their plot to get us spending money - do we really need an excuse to shop?  :)

My dear friends and co-workers: Kellie J, Kellie Sue and Selma.  I have to brag about these gals for a minute.  They worked so hard, along with Angie G who is not pictured here to make sure we Demonstrators had a fabulous time.  They spent countless hours in the Hospitality room handing out gifts and displaying swaps.  They are awesome and they made the cruise so wonderful for every Demonstrator.  Thank you girls xx

After our shopping we were taken on a tour by the wonderful Horace.  He shared a lot of wonderful information about the island and took us to various places including the homes of many stars.  For obvious reasons we could only look at the houses from the entrance.  They included, Gary Lineaker (England Football Player) Celine Dion, Cliff Richard, Joan Collins and Oliver Reed to name a few.

I don't remember who these houses belonged to.

This was the entrance of a beautiful gated "Posh" house community :)

We headed to the beach after some more sight seeing of the 'local town'. My toes are the white ones - to the left, Kristyne, then Mom then Joanne.  My
Dad would have loved the color choices.  (Red and White were the colors of the rugby team he played for)

Beautiful Ocean

End of a fun filled day!

We headed back to the ship.  This evening was our 'Stampin' Up! share night.  I will post pictures on Monday of some awesome creativity.
Next port of call - "St Lucia"

Have a wonderful day!
