Utah Divas International - Saturday Sketch Challenge

Hello Friends,

It has been a while since I took part in the Sketch Challenge on Utah Divas International.  Here is this weeks sketch.

Easy enough sketch!!! It was the other part of the challenge.  We had to use our least favorite color.  Well this was the easy part.....Ever since I became a Demonstrator almost 6 years ago, I have never ever liked nor used "Orchid Opulence".  If ever I could have got rid of a color - it would be this one.

The challenge came with making the card.  I looked at the card stock for about an hour, wondering what I could do with it.  I then decided to use Basic Black and Whisper White as the coordinating colors.  I looked through my many stamp sets and decided to use one I hadn't used in a l-o-n-g time !
I even decided to watercolor.....NOW if you know anything about me at all, you will know I don't like to watercolor.  So I added an extra challenge in the mix.  I used the Watercolor Crayons and the Blender Pen.

Anyways, here we go!  Judge me lightly :)

Bloomin' Beautiful 111490

Nurture your relationships with lots of love from the Bloomin' Beautiful stamp set. A hand-stamped creation is a terrific way to express your thoughts to those who mean the most to you. Use the definition as a background, or watercolor the beautiful plants for hours of stamping creation.

Have a wonderful day!

I agree that my least favorite color is also Orchid Opulence - in fact out of all the colors the only ink pads that I don't have are a few of the purple ones - Orchid Opulence, Lavender Lace and I only have Pale Plum because some one gave me an extra one and it is still in plastic wrap. You did a great job with the card - thanks for sharing it.

Max, I don't even think that I own a single sheet of Orchid Opulence but you have made me like it. Something about being paired up with black just makes it look good! Jan Hoyt O'Fallon, IL
