Cards from friends

Hello Friends,

Today I received two more wonderful cards.  These were delivered to my desk at work.  It is always such an awesome surprise to receive cards.

This first one is from Cherie Hunt.  I was Cherie's SAM the year before last and I just adore her.  I first was in touch with Cherie when I worked as a DS Agent in the Contact Center.  I loved chatting with her and when I became her SAM we became much better friends.  Cherie earned the Alaskan Cruise so she requested me as her SAM again.  So excited to work with her.

Isn't this beautiful?  Just love it

This card was made by Patty Bennett.  I am not Patty's SAM but we have had the chance to speak several times on the phone and I always love seeing her at all our Stampin' Up! events.

Love how Patty used the Paper Flowers behind the large scallop punch out.

Thank you so much for your kindness in sending us these cards.  It is great to make and send cards but even better to be the recipient.

Have a wonderful day!

A card from Mike

Hello Friends,

Over the next few days I will be posting cards that have been made and sent by wonderful people to my daughter Natalie or to us as a family.  This card was made by "Mike Funke" of the Stampin' Pretty PALS.  I was so happy to receive a handmade card from a guy.  I met Mike at Convention and oh what a wonderful guy he is.
I was really impressed that he used pink!  I LOVE pink.  Great combination with gray.

Natalie is doing so much better.  Thanks to all of you for your thoughts, prayers and well wishes and for the beautiful cards.  We really do appreciate you :)

Have a wonderful day!

Homegrown

Hello Friends,

There is a fabulous stamp set in the new Idea Book and Catalog called "Homegrown".  I really like the set but fail to see how I would use it.  I barely bake, rarely cook and definitely don't grow anything in a garden.
Here is the set -

So I got to thinking - the only thing that I have that was homegrown are my children :)  At Convention last week, we had a "Divas" Dinner and one of our new Divas who I had not met before - 'Brandy Cox' made an awesome, absolutely awesome swap using the 'Homegrown' set and this is what she came up with.  We were given the challenge to use a fun pun stamp set and 3 colors - Basic Black, Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler.

Oh it was the absolute favorite swap of the night.  Way to go Brandy!  Awesome creation.  Here is the other set used -

Wouldn't this make an amazing baby card? :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Update and a card for all

Hello Friends,

We have received so many wonderful e-mails, phone calls, facebook messages and handmade cards - it truly has been wonderful.  Thanks so much for caring so much for us.  I really do wish I could send everyone of you a THANK YOU card.  As this is not possible for me to do - here is one for all of you.

Natalie is doing so much better.  It is so hard to believe she had such an horrific accident and not even one week later be at home with us.  We are truly a blessed family.  One of our friends told us we were really lucky.  I told her luck has nothing to do with it - God is in control and it truly is a blessing.  I took her to the hospital so they could clean, redress and wrap her feet.  Such a brave and courageous girl.

THANK YOU so much for your kindness and compassion.  We love you all and appreciate you.

Come back soon to check out some awesome creations using the most awesome products.
Have a wonderful day!

I witnessed a miracle

Dear Family & Friends,

This past week was our annual Stampin' Up! Convention.  It was TOTALLY awesome.  I was running on pure adrenalin from all the fun and excitement.  I was so tired and my poor ankles looked like they did when I was 9 months pregnant.  It was so wonderful to see all my demonstrator friends and get to know co-workers that I don't often get to 'hang out' with at work.

On Saturday during closing session, I received a phone call from Kayleigh (my 2nd daughter).  We have a great understanding that if I don't answer my phone, leave a voicemail or send a text.  I didn't answer the call, but when another call came from Kayleigh, I knew there was an issue.
She was crying and asked if I had heard from 'Dad'. I told her I hadn't and she started sobbing.  She let me know that Natalie (my eldest daughter) had been in a wreck and was in the hospital.  I started to cry and when I heard she had rolled the truck several times - panic struck.

Lynden, who is an amazing guy - without hesitation took me to the Riverton hospital.  I will never forget that great act of kindness :)  I was directed to the room where Natalie was and when I walked in, I literally thought she had been slashed with a knife.  Her poor legs and feet were covered in blood.  This was from all the glass.  The Nurse was pulling out glass from her back and her legs.
She had to scrub Natalie's feet to clean them and the nurse needed to numb them. I held Natalie's hand as the nurse injected her foot.  She let out a scream and squeezed my hand.  I couldn't stay in the room and excused myself.  I am no wimp but when it comes to my kids and pain, I don't do so well.

Natalie is home with us and is struggling to get around due to the pain.  She is such a brave and courageous young lady.  She told me that before the truck rolled, she heard a voice.  She knew the truck was going to roll and the voice she heard let her know she should put her face in her hands.  She crunched in the fetal position.  The seat belt saved her life. Her hands, her bloodied and cut hands saved her face from being cut.

Here are some pictures of the truck.  I truly believe the belt saved her life but without any doubt in my mind - I KNOW that Heavenly Father spared her life.  To him I give all the praise and glory and thank him for his love and mercy.  It is a miracle she is home with us today.  There is no doubt in my mind that my Dad was 'on the scene'. He was her guardian angel that day.

I am in awe at the love, compassion and kindness I have received from many family members and friends and friends whom I work with.  It is amazing to me that you can really have a job in this world that you truly LOVE and ENJOY going to each day.  Look what Natalie received today from Stampin' Up! -

When I saw this truck and visited the scene of the wreck, I was reminded of God's love for my family and I.  I had witnessed a miracle - an absolute miracle. I am in shock that my beautiful daughter is here to tell the tale.  She is in pain, she is suffering, she has bruises and scrapes and scratches and deep cuts and stitches but she is alive :)

I love you Natalie....with all my heart I love you !
God Bless you Always
Mom
