A card from Rett and my new SAM :)

Hello Friends,

This card was sent to me by Rett Christensen who happens to be one of Stampin' Up!'s best employees.  He is such a dedicated co-worker and I learn so much from him.  I often wish I had just a quarter of his energy !!!!  Rett was my DBD coach and I shared my goals with him.  One of those goals was to promote to Executive.  Rett didn't forget - and once I achieved the goal, he sent me this card.  I thought it was so sweet of him.  He had every faith in me and knew I would achieve this goal.
Reaching this title has put me once again back into the SAM program.  I am thrilled. (I missed being on the SAM Stampin' Connection.)  My new SAM is Natalie Palmer. (She is not offically known as Palmer yet but soon will be :)  It is a great feeling to be both a SAM and have a SAM.

Check out my desk - Becky one of the SAM's put this together for me!  It made me smile.

I work at the 'bestest' place with the 'bestest' people ever :)

Build a Blossom Clear Card

Hello Friends,

Are you as happy as I am that today is Friday?  I have so much to do but am happy to start my weekend.

This beautiful card was created and sent to me by the very talented Mary Fish.  I am Mary's Service Account Manager at Stampin' Up! and it is my job to praise my SAMee's when they achieve a goal.  Mary sent me this card to praise me for reaching one of MY goals.
Last month I promoted to 'Executive' in the Stampin' Up! world.  When I got back to work from lunch yesterday, there was a card on my desk.  I thought it was a Christmas Card and was so happy that Mary thought of me reaching my goal......enough to send a card.

Thanks Mary!  That really made my day!

I am busy writing Christmas Cards today but one of my 'things to do' this weekend is to put together my class schedule for the next quarter: Jan-Mar.  I have lots of fun ideas.  If you live in the area and would like me to send you my class schedule, please send me an e-mail to maxstamps@yahoo.com to request it.  I am also planning on my kits in the mail, so if you don't live close by, you can make the projects in the comfort of your own home with step by step directions. (US only).  If you would like to purchase the finished projects, I can mail them anywhere in the world.

Only a few weeks left to order products from the Holiday Mini.  Click here to take a look.  Starting January 4th, you can order from the Occasions Mini (The set and punch and paper that Mary used for her card shown above are all in this fun-filled mini.)  If you would like me to reserve you a copy, please let me know and I will mail one to you.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Annual Team Christmas Dinner 2010

Hello Friends,

Last night - totally awesome!  It was our Team Christmas Dinner.  We met at Applebees and simply had a FUN night, chatting, laughing, sharing secrets :), eating etc.
We had show 'n' tell and it was great to see so many wonderful ideas.  We also had a great gift exchange.  We each brought either a handmade or store bought gift and put our names into a box (Thanks to Pat, she had her cards in a box for show 'n' tell).
Each person drew a name out the box and whoever's name was on the paper gave us the gift they had made/bought.

The lovely Laura drawing the first name :)

Here are a few of the gifts we made/bought for our exchange.  I let the girls know they could keep or trade their gift if the other gal was willing.  NOBODY wanted to trade their gift :)

I bought everyone in my downline (yes all levels) a pack of either Rhinestones or Pearls...their choice.  If you are one of my out of state gals or you didn't attend last night, please let me know your choice and I will get them in the mail to you :)

I am so grateful to Shelli Gardner, Co-founder and CEO of Stampin' Up! for starting such a marvelous company and for sticking it out through the thick and the thin! I have met so many wonderful people because of this company and many are my closest friends.

Thanks to my team - YOU are the best.
Next month we are getting together for a shoebox swap.  If you would like to join our team, e-mail me at maxstamps@yahoo.com or call 801 897-0429.

Have a wonderful day!

Utah Divas International Color Challenge #13

Hello Friends,

Time for another Utah Divas International Color Challenge.  My son John, loves the Build-A-Bear stamps and dies.  I gave him the colors he could use as part of the challenge this week. He loves using the Big Shot. I asked him why his 'teddy' did not have a shirt. "He was hot" was his reply.

"More Mustard/Cherry Cobbler/Garden Green and Real Red"

As you can see, no stamps were used for this card.  I was chatting with a demonstrator friend this morning and asked "How did we run a business without the BIG SHOT?"

The Build-A-Bear die is a must for those of you who have kids (great project for them) and for those of you who send cards to kids.  Coming soon - my version of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" in story form. One of my children's favorite stories.

Bear Stampin' Up! Bigz Die 117977 Price: $23.95

You love Build-A-Bear Workshop; now you can create your own Build-A-Bear Workshop bears to use on scrapbooks, birthday cards, party invitations, and more!

Just like you can personalize a plush Build-A-Bear teddy bear, you can customize and personalize your die-cut bear using the colors and materials you want. Use Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive Bear Bigz die to create your basic bear, and then let your imagination run free!

■ Coordinates with other Stampin' Up! Build-A-Bear Workshop dies

■ Use with Sizzix Big Shot and standard cutting pads

■ Bear height: 4-3/4"

Have a wonderful day!

Guest from Australia

Hello Friends,

Have you met someone 'online' through Stampin' Up! that you wished so bad you could meet in "REAL" life?  For me that person would have to be Leonie Schroeder.  Leonie lives in Australia.  She and I have been online friends for many years now and I would LOVE to meet her.

I had to give myself a break from my assembly line - making my Christmas cards.  When I visited Leonie's blog, I saw this cute card she had made.  Seriously the stamp set "Lovely as a Tree" has been around forever and I hope it is with us forever more :)

Thanks Leonie for your friendship.  Just love ya to pieces :)

If you have any friends living in Australia, be sure to send them Leonie's way :)

Come back Monday when I will reveal the 4 names of those who won the blog candy :)

Have a wonderful day!

Christmas Cards 2010

Hello Friends,

Busy day in store for me today!  Lance is at work, kiddos at school, dinner in the crockpot - and my assembly line ready!
I will be putting together our Christmas Cards.  Sure wish I could have got them all ready by now but hey we can't do or have everything, right?

This has taken quite some time to get this 'assembly line' ready! What you notice as scrumpled up paper is truly going to amaze you when you see the finished card.  One of my buddies at work, Miles Marsala helped me tremendously yesterday.  I knew it was going to take me so long to scrumple up 100 pieces of Crumb Cake card stock.  After about 20, my poor little hands were in pain and felt they needed a whole bottle of lotion to be massaged into them.  I asked Miles if he would mind helping me.  Told him I had a 'Man's job' for him :)  Bless his heart, he had them all done within an hour.

There is nothing better than receiving a handmade card.  Do you have yours ready to go this year?  If not, contact me at maxstamps@yahoo.com for a free consultation to get your Christmas cards underway.

Word Play Kit in the Mail

Hello Friends,

I can't believe we are already into December!  Due to everyone's tight schedules, I don't hold classes in my home this month.  December is actually my busiest month for Kits in the Mail as it seems many of my customers like to make things in the comfort of their own homes during the cold Winter months.

This months kit is a pack of 10 'everyday' cards.  You could use these cards for yourself or give them as neighbor gifts, co-worker gifts, friend gifts etc.

Your kit will consist of:
*10 Crumb Cake Base Cards
*10 Crumb Cake Envelopes
*10 pieces of the Sweet Soiree Designer Series Paper
*10 Early Espresso punched circles
*10 Very Vanilla punched Decorative Label Punches
*20 Stampin' Dimensionals
*Early Espresso Ribbon to wrap up cards

Cost $15

Due to Stampin' Up!'s policy, I am not able to send Stamped Images in the kit, so you can either purchase the completed cards for $20 (cost includes shipping) or you can pre-order the "Word Play" stamp set.  Card Kit will cost just $5 with the pre-purchased stamp set. Directions included.

This month only "Word Play" stamp set is 10% off original cost.
