A vacation of a lifetime in Hawaii

Every year Stampin' Up! offers all the demonstrators an opportunity to earn an all expense paid incentive trip. This years trip was to Hawaii. When I first heard the trip was to Hawaii I just knew I had to earn it.

This was a trip of a lifetime. What made it 100% perfect was the fact that I was with so many of my fabulous friends. I am amazed at the solid friendships which are formed through such an amazing company. Click here to read about how this company began.

Our flight left at 6am MST and for those of you know me really well will know I AM NOT a morning person. I can stay up all night and often go to bed way too late but the thought of getting up early in the morning just about puts me into cardiac arrest. We arrived at the airport at approximately 4:30am. The first person I saw at the airport was Pam Morgan. Pam is the VP of Demonstrator Support and a Corporate Team Member at Stampin' Up! Pam is also a demonstrator and I have had the opportunity of sharing how I earned this trip at one of her downline meetings.

Here is a picture of Pam and I in Hawaii with her husband Chris in the background. Pam will forever remember my famous saying of the week "Isn't this great?" Every time I saw Pam I would say this to her. It really was great ;)

Stampin' Up! has the most amazing products around and of course I love the company for that. However, the most important part of being a demonstrator in my opinion is the friendships that are formed. I have met the most amazing people who have become lifelong friends through this company.

This is a picture of such friends! Make & Take's are ALWAYS a fun part of every event!

At the Luau

This is Shelli Gardner (Co-founder and CEO of Stampin' Up!) and I. She is such an amazing and gracious lady. She was telling me at the "Welcome Reception" that I was 'Superwoman'. I was honored but couldn't help but think what a 'Superwoman' Shelli is. I think of all the lives she has brought together. The friendships and relationships that have been formed due to Stampin' Up! To think this fabulous company started in Shelli's living room.
More fabulous pictures and stories of Hawaii to come. Keep tuned!

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the minimum sales requirements?
A: You only have to submit $300 in sales per quarter. That is less than an average Stampin’ Up! workshop! Also, you can submit your sales in any increment you wish and still get your discount and commission.

Q: What if I only want to do this as a hobby. Do I still have to do parties?
A: Absolutely not! Stampin’ Up! supports the hobby demonstrator just as well as the career demonstrator. You can put in your own order or collect orders from family and friends to equal the $300 minimum for the quarter.

Q: Can I be my own hostess?
A: Yes, you can be your own hostess anytime you want!!! You can invite your family and friends into your own home and have a workshop. You would be the hostess, receiving the hostess benefits, and you would also be the demonstrator receiving your instant income and commission!

Q: How much does it cost to get started as a demonstrator?
A: The standard starter kit is only $169 plus tax (shipping is free) through March 31st, 2009. It includes everything you need to get your business up and running, including stamp sets that you get to choose, ink, paper, catalogs, order forms, training information and more!

Q: What if I decide that I don’t like it once I’ve started? Will I be penalized if I quit or is there a certain time frame I have to be a demonstrator?
A: You can stop anytime you choose. You simply just stop putting in your minimum sales. You keep everything that came in your kit to enjoy for yourself….. But, I guarantee, once you get started you won’t want to stop!

Q: What kind of incentives can I earn as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator?
A: Stampin’ Up! offers so many benefits and incentives to demonstrators. Here are a few:*In your first 3-6 months you have the opportunity to earn 9 free stamp sets from the current catalog through the Stampin’ Start Program based on your personal sales and recruiting.*30% Instant Income on your first order within 45 days of signing up.*Special ‘demonstrator only’ incentives, like additional discount promotions, free stamp promotions, pre-buy opportunities, bulk buying and more!

Great Rewards—You earn points for your sales, and can use them to choose prizes like product and gift cards! First prize level only requires $1000 in sales per quarter!

Q: Do people really make money at this?
A: Yes! There are many demonstrators who make $1000, $5000 or even $15,000+ a month! There are even cash awards given out during the year for personal performance achievements and at convention too!

Q: Where will I get my ideas for my workshops?
A: Stampin’ Up! has many resources for demonstrators. A yearly catalog as well as quarterly mini catalogs. A Demonstrator web site with a workshop planning wizard and sample gallery as well as project templates and patterns to use, monthly Stampin’ Success Magazine, training videos and more! It is OK to copy your projects from these sources and use them at your workshops… in fact, it’s encouraged! You don't have to think of everything by yourself. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I had not borrowed and shared ideas!

Q: Are there any Stampin’ Up! events that I can attend as a new demonstrator?
A: Yes, almost all of them!!! Every year Stampin’ Up! has it’s annual convention. It is in Salt Lake City, Utah the last part of July/first part of August and is 4 days long.
