I witnessed a miracle

Dear Family & Friends,

This past week was our annual Stampin' Up! Convention.  It was TOTALLY awesome.  I was running on pure adrenalin from all the fun and excitement.  I was so tired and my poor ankles looked like they did when I was 9 months pregnant.  It was so wonderful to see all my demonstrator friends and get to know co-workers that I don't often get to 'hang out' with at work.

On Saturday during closing session, I received a phone call from Kayleigh (my 2nd daughter).  We have a great understanding that if I don't answer my phone, leave a voicemail or send a text.  I didn't answer the call, but when another call came from Kayleigh, I knew there was an issue.
She was crying and asked if I had heard from 'Dad'. I told her I hadn't and she started sobbing.  She let me know that Natalie (my eldest daughter) had been in a wreck and was in the hospital.  I started to cry and when I heard she had rolled the truck several times - panic struck.

Lynden, who is an amazing guy - without hesitation took me to the Riverton hospital.  I will never forget that great act of kindness :)  I was directed to the room where Natalie was and when I walked in, I literally thought she had been slashed with a knife.  Her poor legs and feet were covered in blood.  This was from all the glass.  The Nurse was pulling out glass from her back and her legs.
She had to scrub Natalie's feet to clean them and the nurse needed to numb them. I held Natalie's hand as the nurse injected her foot.  She let out a scream and squeezed my hand.  I couldn't stay in the room and excused myself.  I am no wimp but when it comes to my kids and pain, I don't do so well.

Natalie is home with us and is struggling to get around due to the pain.  She is such a brave and courageous young lady.  She told me that before the truck rolled, she heard a voice.  She knew the truck was going to roll and the voice she heard let her know she should put her face in her hands.  She crunched in the fetal position.  The seat belt saved her life. Her hands, her bloodied and cut hands saved her face from being cut.

Here are some pictures of the truck.  I truly believe the belt saved her life but without any doubt in my mind - I KNOW that Heavenly Father spared her life.  To him I give all the praise and glory and thank him for his love and mercy.  It is a miracle she is home with us today.  There is no doubt in my mind that my Dad was 'on the scene'. He was her guardian angel that day.

I am in awe at the love, compassion and kindness I have received from many family members and friends and friends whom I work with.  It is amazing to me that you can really have a job in this world that you truly LOVE and ENJOY going to each day.  Look what Natalie received today from Stampin' Up! -

When I saw this truck and visited the scene of the wreck, I was reminded of God's love for my family and I.  I had witnessed a miracle - an absolute miracle. I am in shock that my beautiful daughter is here to tell the tale.  She is in pain, she is suffering, she has bruises and scrapes and scratches and deep cuts and stitches but she is alive :)

I love you Natalie....with all my heart I love you !
God Bless you Always
Mom

Oh Max ... It truly is a miracle that Natalie was saved in that horrible crash. I cant believe the images. I know SU is an amazing company and its time like this they show just how amazing they are! What I think is amazing is that Natalie is already home with you! God is good and He truly does care for his children. God bless you all and may He bless Natalie with healing.

Oh Max,
I had heard about the accident just yesterday. I prayed silently that your daughter would be alright. I think many of us (Demos') were praying for her. It is a miracle after seeing that horrible wreck.
God bless you and your family.

Oh Max, when I heard about the accident, I was SO sad and praying SO hard!! I had JUST met you in the line as we demos were coming in that morning, and I recognized you and told you that I'm Soozie4Him (thought you'd recognize my screename from SCS) and I gave you a hug. Then I heard that that very afternoon, you got the call!! So I've been praying, and I'm SO praising God right now that He pulled your daughter through without any really serious injuries, though I'm sure she's in a lot of pain. I'll continue to pray for her pain control, fast healing, etc.

Hugs,
Susan, aka Soozie4Him on SCS

Thank God your daughter is ok...I had a similar experience 20 years ago.. I was stopped a light and a voice told me not to go when the light turned green. I had a vison of my car spinning along with the voice. When the light turned green I did not go, a car ran the light and I am sure if I had gone he would have hit me. I will never forget this! Prayers to your family and daughter for a speedy recovery!

Maxine,
I'm so happy to hear that your daughter is going to be okay. I just said goodnight to my oldest who is taking her driving test this next week. It's very scary to let them go out on their own and I'm just glad to hear that she indeed got her miracle.
