Up Up and Away!

Hello Friends,

I have so missed posting to my blog.  I went to the hospital for some blood tests as I have been so very tired lately.  Literally falling asleep as soon as I got home from work at 11am.  I have a severe case of Anemia.  There were a lot of things put on the back burner due to this 'tiredness' and my blog had to be one of them :(  Hopefully the iron tablets they put me on will do the trick!)

Just a couple of days left of being 21 hahahahah.  My birthday is Thursday and the cards are 'a coming'.  This card was created and sent to me by one of my team members and a sweet friend - Edie Bunting.  Edie has suffered with some major health issues that makes mine look so trivial.  She is such a strong and courageous woman and one who I have a great deal of admiration and respect for.

It's always exciting to receive a card in the mail.  Edie used the 'Up Up and Away stamp set and the Big Top Birthday Designer Series Paper.  What a bright and cheery card.
Thanks for thinking of me Edie :)

I love the "u" in us

Hello Friends,

One of my team members, Stephanie Krauza made this adorable card for our team swap.  She used the "PS I love you" stamp set from the Occasions mini and used the new edgelit die - also available in the mini.

This stamp set is awesome for anytime of the year not just Valentines.  I was so glad Stephanie joined our swap and look forward to seeing more of her creations.

Pals Blog Hop

Hello Friends,

Spring has sprung and it's time for Pals Blog Hop! Today the Stampin' Pretty Pals are sharing some fabulous Spring themed cards and projects that we think you'll enjoy! You've probably hopped over from Leah's blog at http://www.leahsstampincorner.com/

I'm stop number 19 on the Pals Hop and I'm glad you hopped in! I'll help you "hop along" from blog to blog where you'll find great ideas for spring themed paper projects from the Stampin' Pretty Pals! Should you hop off course, simply click on any of the links in the Pals Hop Line-up below and you'll be back on track.

I am loving the Kraft Boxes!  So many creative uses for them.  I used the "Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper for the outside decorating of this box.  This paper is one of the choices for a FREE item with a $50 order. Click here for more information about Sale-A-Bration.
The recipient will have 8 cards for everyday use.

The selection of cards in the box.

Close up of the 'butterfly' on top of the box.
To create the Butterfly, I ran chipboard through the Big Shot using the Beautiful Butterflies Die then distressed it with Soft Suede Ink.  I did the same thing (didn't distress) using the First Edition Designer Series Paper.  Finally I ran a piece of the Everyday Enchantment (using the same Die) and added a large pearl in the middle.  I used Stampin' Dimensionals (they always do the trick) to adhere the 'butterfly'.

If you missed my project from last months PALS blog hop - click here for another idea using the Kraft Boxes.
All the sentiments I used for the 3x3 cards are from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set.
Wow! This set includes a greeting for almost every occasion. Don't just buy it, keep it handy, cause you're going to use it a lot!

Happy Birthday Haylie

Hello Friends,

One of my special friends had a birthday over the weekend and this is the card I made for her.  Haylie is 'the' sweetest, and as soon as I saw this paper from our 'Sweet Shop' collection, I thought of Haylie. Ice-creams, Milk Shakes etc - SWEET!

I used Calypso Coral for the card base.  This is one of our In Colors and will be round for another year.  It is one I haven't used much at all but now that Spring is hopefully on its way, I guess I will use it more.  I cut out some of the Sweet Shop Designer Series Paper using the Top Note Die with my Big Shot.  I  then added some of the Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon and tied a bow.
Next I cut out the letter 'H' using the Serif Essentials Die and Lucky Limeade card stock.  Adhered it to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals and then added some Rhinestones.

I added a treat inside but now think I should have added a gift card too for an ice-cream/milkshake.

Happy Birthday Haylie!!  You ROCK :)

Take a Seat

Hello Friends,

I am a huge fan of Black & White/Black & Vanilla cards.  Elegance at its best!  This card shows a couple of dies that can be used with our Big Shot.  Start with a Basic Black card base and add a piece of Whisper White card stock in the middle. The Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder creates a very tasteful background.  Layered with the Top Note Die with a piece cut from the right hand side.  I stamped the 'seat' image from the 'Take a Seat' stamp set in Basic Black ink.  Added a piece of Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon, a sentiment and a rhinestone.  DONE!
Very quick, easy and simple - yet elegant !

Stamp to the MAX swaps

Hello Friends,

Today I am sharing 3 swaps from our recent team swap.  Elizabeth Harris created the swap above.  I have been a fan of Elizabeth's creations for a while now.  I was excited to see the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper used as I am loving it.  With one month left of Sale-A-Bration, I want to use it as much as I can.
Visit Elizabeth's blog by clicking here

Lisa Fennewald made this card (Original created by Sandy Mathis) using the Elementary Elegance stamp set which is available in clear mount or wood mount.  It is FREE with a $50 purchase for the rest of this month.  You can choose the ribbon and brad pack as a free item or a pack of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper which are also shown in this card.  Click here for more information about Sale-A-Bration.
Many people tell me they could never be a Demonstrator as they are not creative.  Neither was I !  I can assure you that you don't need to be creative to become a Demonstator.  I find so many inspiration from other Demonstrators, magazines, blogs, websites etc.  I made the card above and copied it from one of my most favorite friends - Kimberly Van Diepen.  I love Kimberly's style and so anytime I need something amazing - I know I will find it with Kimberly.

If you are thinking along this line - that you would like to join my team but are worried you are not creative - don't worry (be happy) :) E-mail me at maxstamps@yahoo.com for more information or if you are ready to join, go to my website at http://www.stampwithmax2.stampinup.com/ and click on 'join now' in the upper right hand corner.  Even if you don't want to run this as a business, join now for just $125 (over $400 in product).  You can purchase things at a discount and run it as a hobby.  You will also get to choose either a FREE pack of Designer Series Paper or a digital download every single month for a year.
